BioGreen Power Generation and Energy (BGPGE) has been formed to contribute in the global and national effort in combating global warming induced climate change. We are a Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and Government of Chhattisgarh recognized startup. We generate wealth from different types of waste: primarily agricultural waste, and plastic waste. We work in the areas of Green House Gas (GHG) emission reduction, waste management, sustainable enterprise, circular economy, renewable energy, alternate fuels, climate action, and allied areas. We utilize locally available waste bio-resources and convert it into forms of bioenergy, fertilizers, etc. We aim to positively augment the income of all stakeholders, particularly the income of small and marginal farmers and generating wealth in a sustainable and equitable manner.

We are using waste to create wealth.
Agricultural residue which would have been openly burnt or rotten (both avenues resulting in substantial Green House Gas emissions) will be utilized to manufacture biomass pellets which are used to substitute a percentage(5% as on 2023) of coal in thermal power generation. We aim to reduce CO2 emissions from thermal power generations by approx. 2110 tonne per annum.
BioGreen Power Generation and Energy will create formal employment for absorbing surplus rural manpower which will result in social inclusion of the poor, gender inclusion through non-discrimination in employment or pay, and financial inclusion due to firm nature of employment.
In this region, i.e., Chhattisgarh state, the viable raw material for manufacturing of agro-residue based biomass pellets is paddy straw due to its abundance and availability. Thus, its purchase by BioGreen Power Generation and Energy for manufacturing pellets will result in positive augmentation in farmers' income.
